Pictured in this photo is Madison "Maddy" Garrett. She is 3 years old and was diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma just 9-months ago. She started her 8th cycle of chemotherapy on March 11th.
Her future treatment will also include Autologous Stem Cell Rescue Blood and Marrow Transplantation, Radiation Therapy and Antibody Therapy.
She may have cancer, but it's not going to stop her!
I am so glad we extended this campaign, Because of Them, We Can... beyond Black History Month. If not, perhaps I would have never had the opportunity to connect the dots between this beautiful little girl and the anchor who inspires us all.
