Do you remember Skye Turner? Back in November, we shared a video of the then 9-year-old singing Patti LaBelle's "If Only You Knew." To refresh your memory, here's the video of Skye showing that talent has no age.
In fact, her talent recently led her to "The Steve Harvey Show," where she was invited to sing the same song.
"I like Old School music,” Skye shared. “People who sing about love, and the Gospel, and more. I love artists like Tina Marie, Prince, Anita Baker, and especially Mrs. Patti LaBelle.”
The 10-year-old told Steve: "I don’t want to wait until I’m older to become what I want to be. I want to be a diva … an entertainer. An entertainer is somebody who acts, sings, dances, and more. I make music and publish it. I want it to last for generations … just like Mrs. Patti LaBelle."
Little did she know, in the middle of channeling her inner Patti LaBelle, the soul legend herself would walk out during her performance to share the stage with her. Watch Skye's priceless reaction below. You might want to grab a tissue first.
"Skye, you are amazing. You are a singing angel,” LaBelle said. "When I heard this little baby sing, I said, 'My goodness God is good.' You’re a star."
Skye responded, "Thank you! I've always wanted to meet you. And I hope I grow up to be just like you, and the singing sensation that you are."
