Gone too soon!
Lyric Chanel, the 13-year-old who captured the internet's heart, passed after two years of fighting brain cancer and anaplastic ependymoma. According to her GoFundMe, Chanel underwent surgery at the Texas Medical Center to remove a tumor, but unfortunately, an inoperable tumor grew back. Her mother posted on her Instagram that Lyric’s favorite singer, Beyoncé, Sang to her before she joined the ancestors.
The singer posted a song she wrote in her honor on her website.
The young social media sensation has had people worldwide praising her strength and optimism during her fight with cancer. She developed a special bond with Beyonce, Cardi B, and Houston rapper Trae Trae Truth, whom she called her uncle.
Marcus Owens, a photographer who did her first photoshoot, said that Lyric was the strongest person he had ever met.
The internet has been sending their love and condolences to her family.
