This morning, another bittersweet Obama moment happened. First Lady Michelle Obama, along with her family's dogs Bo and Sunny, took "one last walk" through the White House. When Mrs. Obama first arrived to the White House in 2009, she made it her mission to open its doors as often as possible to the people. Over the last eight years the First Lady not only helped welcome people from all different walks of life, but she also brought another level of grace, class and style into the residence. President Obama said it best in his farewell speech: (Michelle Obama) "you made the White House a place that belongs to everybody."

On Tuesday, Mrs. Obama celebrated her 53rd birthday and said on Twitter: "Thank you for the birthday wishes and for the greatest gift of all: the opportunity to serve as your First Lady."
First Lady Obama, thank you for truly making the White House the "People's House".
