Whitehaven High School's Class Of 2017 Receive More Than $65 Million In Scholarships

Whitehaven High School has done it again! Dubbed the "Million Dollar Tigers", Whitehaven's class of 2017 has earned over $65 million in scholarships. To celebrate, the Memphis, Tennessee school hosted its annual Academic Signing Day, which is an assembly held for graduating seniors to announce their total dollar amount in scholarships and their final college choice.

41 seniors received at least one million dollars in academic scholarships, and this year's top earner went to Zariah Nolan, who received more than $9.4 million. Several students proudly announced that they'll be continuing their education at historically Black colleges and universities. The celebration of Black excellence continued online as many students decided to share their plans for the future on social media. Check out a few of their college announcements below.

Congratulations to Whitehaven High School's class of 2017! It's already clear that you all have a bright future ahead.
