Hello Madam (Acting) President!
Vice President Kamala Harris had another historic first this Friday when she became the first female acting president when President Joe Biden underwent a colonoscopy this morning. According to the White House, the president temporarily transferred power to the VP during his procedure at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, making her the acting president.

Her power to be acting president comes from Section 3 of the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution. It dictates that the president can send a letter to the speaker of the House of Representatives and the president pro tempore of the Senate declaring they are "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the vice president as acting president."
Harris's term was brief, just until Biden was out from being under anesthesia. But that didn't stop the internet from being excited about calling her Madam President.
Madam President has a nice ring to it!
