He’s moving in silence!
The TikTok star Khaby Lame was recently named the 2022 FIFA World Cup Brand Ambassador for the biggest bank in the Middle East and Africa, Qatar National Bank.
TikTok is the newest video platform we all know and love. Whether it be for things like shopping, entertainment, or trying to spark a new creative idea, the short form video app has it all, and we can’t get enough of it! What we also love is our Black TikTok community, full of vibrant Black content creators that are doing great things.
At the top of that list is the one and only, Khabane "Khaby" Lame. Lame is currently making over 750k per post; according to Forbes, the 22-year-old made over $10 million in 2021 alone. Now, with 150 million followers and 2.4 billion likes, he remains the most followed creator worldwide. He’s garnered all this attention through his silent videos, giving ominous reactions and funny how-to’s. He continues to produce joy for many, and we’re still rooting for him!
The 2022 World Cup will be bringing six teams from around the world to compete in Qatar, and with the upcoming tournament, the sensation has landed a partnership with Qatar National Bank (QNB). As the new brand ambassador for their FIFA World Cup campaigns, people are inspired by Lame’s story, which all came about in two years. QNB believes he’s the perfect person to be the face of their brand and that he fits their brand ethos.
He was recently featured in a QNB Group TV commercial titled, “Dream Bigger with QNB!,” preparing viewers for the upcoming tournament and showcasing Lame’s silent reaction to the endless possibilities being shown.
"I believe that I am very similar to QNB, I set my dreams and achieve the impossible. I look forward to explore the tournament through QNB’s lens and to make unforgettable memories."
General Manager of QNB Group Communications Ms. Heba Ali Al-Tamimi stated, “Choosing Khaby Lame as QNB’s ambassador during the tournament reflects the boundless ambition of Qatar by hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. By following his dreams, Lame, much like Qatar, has achieved his goals. We are celebrating together a world where everything is possible.”
Congratulations, Khaby!
