In 2015, visionary filmmaker Ava DuVernay became the first woman director to inspire a Barbie doll when she was honored in Barbie's shero collection. Now three years later, Disney has transformed characters from DuVernay's adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle's classic children's book "A Wrinkle In Time," into Barbies.

On Thursday, DuVernay shared a first look of the dolls, who are inspired by Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, and Reese Witherspoon's characters: Mrs. Which, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Whatsit.

"When Disney makes Barbies of your movie’s characters and you just want to stare at them all day in disbelief because you loved Barbies as a girl but never had any like these, " DuVernay wrote on Instagram.

In the film, the magical trio helps Meg Murray (played by newcomer Storm Reid) on her journey through space and time to rescue her scientist father.

Here's a closer look of Winfrey, Kaling and Witherspoon in doll form.
