Very good, Auntie Tab!
Tabitha Brown will be the host of Food Network’s first vegan cooking competition show, Black Enterprise reports.
They say when it’s your time to shine, it’s your time. Well, it’s definitely Brown’s time as her biggest dreams continue to unfold one by one. The vegan influencer is a restaurant owner, a fashion designer, recently launching a collection with Target, and a New York Times best-selling author.
Brown’s newest venture is a historic one as she prepares to host Food Network’s first-ever vegan cooking competition, It’s CompliPlated.
“It’s CompliPlated reflects what it’s actually like to make a meal the whole family will love — it’s not easy to make one dish for everyone and this series makes it fun,” Jane Latman, president, Home and Food Content and Streaming, Warner Bros. Discovery stated in a press release. "Tabitha Brown’s energy, sense of humor and real-life journey to becoming vegan make her the perfect host to take us on this adventure."
Brown, who transitioned to a vegan diet in 2017, took to Instagram to express her excitement about the history making opportunity, saying: "Family look at what the Lord has done. He took me from my car eating a sandwich, to live cooking shows in my home kitchen and now to Food Network!"
Every episode in the series is set to include four chefs who will compete in three rounds of cooking challenges, using only plant-based ingredients to create dishes for Chopped judge Maneet Chauhan and a panel of guest judges.
“Becoming vegan changed my life and the way I cook — and I know folks can relate to the daily challenge of making the whole family happy with one meal, so we decided to make a game of it,” said Brown.
She added: “These chefs cook from the heart and their food is mind-blowing — viewers are sure to have a blast and be inspired for their next family dinner.”
It’s CompliPlated is set to air on Food Network and Discovery+ on August 11 at 10 p.m. ET.
Congratulations, Auntie Tab! May the blessings and opportunities keep pouring in!
