Raylynn Thompson is proof that Black girl magic is real. The high school senior has a 4.71 weighted GPA and college acceptance letters from 62 schools around the country.
Thompson told KJRH that she got into the schools the good old fashioned way, with hard work and the support of an amazing village of family, teachers and friends.
That hard work also earned her over $1 million in scholarships.Â
Thompson’s commitment to academic excellence has already accelerated her college career. No matter what school she chooses, when she steps on campus this fall, she’ll do it as a sophomore.
She has set her sights on becoming a neonatologist and plans to major in biology.
Raylynn, we can’t wait to hear about the great things you’ll do next!
