NBA Superstar Steph Curry Hosted Live Q&A with Dr. Anthony Fauci To Answer Your Questions About COVID-19

Man! S/O to people power!

Stephen Curry took it upon himself to make sure we get the facts about what’s really going on with the Coronavirus, going live on Instagram to host a Q&A with Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Dr. Fauci is head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He has been relied on heavily by the White House administration to give information about what to expect with the spread of the Coronavirus and how best to navigate the current pandemic.

Curry compiled questions from his 29 million followers and asked them live to Dr. Fauci who graciously obliged. He emphasized the importance of flattening the curve, staying home as a way to help minimize the transmission of the virus and dispelling myths about transmission, most of which we’ve heard him talk about during press conferences before.

Dr. Fauci also addressed the seriousness of the virus, confirming that it is 10 times more deadlier than the flu, reiterating that even young, seemingly healthy people are becoming seriously ill by this virus, and saying that while it seems highly unlikely that a person who has been infected by COVID-19 and recovered could be reinfected, it is still important that we take precautions and monitor our reentry process for those infected on a case by case basis over time because this is still a new virus and there’s still so much we don’t know about it.

Over 50,000 people tuned in to the livestream and Curry, along with Dr. Fauci, covered many of the questions that so many people have been asking across the globe. Fauci said that we are not overreacting because this is a very serious situation. He also confirmed that they have developed a vaccine faster than any other vaccine created in history and while it is important to accelerate the development, it is even more important to make sure that it’s safe first.

The live stream is available for the next 24 hours via Curry’s Instagram page. To access the replay, click here.

Stay safe folks and listen to the experts!

Thank you Steph and thank you Dr. Fauci.
