This Black Woman CEO Made History With Her $80M Company's First Flagship Retail Store

Charis Jones has always been a woman on a mission. 4 months after delivering twin boys, she hit the road to bring the hottest pieces of jewelry and fashions to various trade shows. After traveling 30,000 miles in 15 months to show people what Sassy Jones is all about, she decided to give e-commerce a try with the launch of Sparkle Party, a live stream that allows her to showcase her jewelry to more than 30,000 viewers.

Now a $80 million company, she has three warehouses and over 40 full-time employees, opening her first flagship retail store in Richmond, VA. Jones saw 12,000% growth, earning her recognitions such as ranking at No. 24 on Inc. 5000’s list of fastest-growing, privately held businesses, being listed a top brand that thrived during the pandemic by Forbes, and a large following of celebrity clients. “I am thrilled to open our first location where customers near and far can come for a fully immersive shopping experience," Jones said.

“A place where the unicorns can play – it isn’t about the purchase, it’s about how each customer feels. I want the Sassy Jones woman to walk away with more than just a handbag, I want her feeling gorgeous, connected and loved. This location will be the first of many to do just that," she continued.

Sassy Jones is making sure to keep every woman in mind with her fashions, and every item purchased benefits menstrual poverty to young African girls.

Congratulations, Ms. Jones. We can’t wait to report on more success!
