Kandi Burruss and Husband Todd Tucker Open Their Newest Restaurant Named After Their Youngest Daughter

Keeping it all in the family!

Reality stars Kandi Burruss and husband Todd Tucker have announced plans for their latest Atlanta restaurant, named after their 8-month-old daughter Blaze, Essence reports.

Blaze Steak & Seafood is the newest addition to the couples' growing empire. The budding restaurateurs also own a chain of Old Lady Gang restaurants across the Atlanta area, serving southern soul food with a menu crafted by Burruss' aunts. Tucker explained that while he and his wife definitely wanted to pay tribute to their baby girl, they also wanted to bring fine dining to the majority Black neighborhood.

"I live in Southwest Atlanta and always asked why we don't have certain restaurants in our area. But I'm not asking anymore," Tucker captioned a picture of the new restaurant. "I will build what we want and what we need in our communities! They better not let me figure out how to build my own grocery store!"

Burruss got her start in the music business with the popular '90s group Xscape while Tucker built a name for himself as a producer in the entertainment industry. The two met on the set of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reality show, and fans have watched their love, family, and empire, blossom over the years.

Their blended family has grown over the last couple of years. In addition to their 8-month-old daughter Blaze, Burruss and Tucker are also parents to their four-year-old son Ace, a 17-year-old daughter Riley and 23-year-old daughter Kaela. The couple has been committed to sharing each of their milestones with fans, including the building of each business. Tucker recently carried fans on a behind the scenes virtual tour of their newest restaurant on YouTube.

"This is Southwest Atlanta. This is where the who's who of Atlanta grew up, lived, came from, part of; they're still a part of the neighborhood and part of the community," Tucker said. "We're part of the community, we live in the community, and it's such a blessing to be able to open up something on this side of town. It's gonna be dope."
