Grandma's support is never ending!
As the number of skincare brands continues to grow, entrepreneurs are still leaving out a core group of the community: kids. Although some self-care businesses cater to a younger audience, such as Young King Hair Care, the self-care brand for young boys, and Play Pits, the all-natural deodorant for young children, kid-friendly skincare brands are few and far between.
Beauty enthusiast and entrepreneur Cheryl Brown and her 8-year-old granddaughter, Skye, are looking to help young children and teens develop healthy skincare habits with their brand Skye Monroe Skincare. The duo believes in great quality without subjecting the skin to toxins. The products offered are an aloe cleanser and a hydrating face moisturizer made with natural and organic ingredients that are pH balanced and gentle enough for all skin types.
Also the co-author of Basic Table Manners for Children, Brown became inspired to start the skincare brand after seeing her granddaughter use her face products, making it a goal to help children “create the best versions of themselves.”
For every product purchased, the brand will donate $1 to Basics International in Ghana, a school made to give students in Chorkor, Accra a better quality of life and future.
