The best cookie on the market just got better!
If you’ve ever checked in for a good night’s stay at DoubleTree by Hilton, you know all about their signature warm chocolate chip cookie welcome. There is nothing better than staying for a night in a place that welcomes you with baked goods. The DoubleTree cookie is delicious and has become an iconic staple for the hotel chain, serving more than 19 million cookies to guests in 2022 alone, Hilton reports. Now DoubleTree has teamed up with Partake Foods, a Black-owned brand that is one of the leading allergy-friendly food companies in the nation, to produce a new allergy-friendly DoubleTree cookie, hoping to extend the welcome to even more guests.
“With DoubleTree by Hilton’s allergy-friendly cookie, we’re reshaping the concept of hospitality to be more inclusive and considerate. We’re serving not just a cookie but a promise of care and personalization for each guest who walks through our doors,” said Matt Schuyler, chief brand officer, Hilton.
According to Hilton, there are over 32 million people in the U.S alone who suffer from food allergies, food intolerances or other dietary preferences. At check-in, guests will now have the option to choose between the original DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie and the new soft-baked allergy friendly cookie which is gluten free, non-GMO, vegan, and free of the top nine allergens (wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, dairy, eggs, soy, fish, sesame, and shellfish).
Denise Woodard is the brains behind Partake Foods, launching the company in 2016 after discovering her daughter had a variety of food allergies. Recognizing the scarcity of allergy-friendly snacks on the market, Woodard decided to create her own, receiving significant investments early on, including a $1 million investment from Jay-Z’s Marcy Venture Partners. Her latest partnership with DoubleTree is an expansion for the already trusted brand, each allergy-friendly DoubleTree cookie individually wrapped during production to ensure it is free from cross-contamination.
“We are thrilled to work with an iconic brand like DoubleTree by Hilton to create a more inclusive welcome for their guests at check-in. As a parent of a child with food allergies, I know firsthand how limited offerings are for those with allergies and dietary restrictions when traveling. Everyone deserves to have a sense of assurance and comfort when they are away from home. Partake Foods is proud to extend our mission of inclusivity to DoubleTree by Hilton hotels across the United States,” said Woodard.
