Chance the Rapper is raising even more money to support underfunded Chicago Public Schools (CPS). This time, with the help of Lyft, a San Francisco, California based transportation network company. The partnership between Lyft and SocialWorks, a non-profit organization that Chance co-founded, now allows Chicago riders to round up their fare and donate to Chance's arts fund for CPS.
All riders have to do is go to settings and hit the 'Round Up & Donate' button on their Lyft app, then select CPS. The fare will automatically round up to the nearest dollar and the difference will be donated to the New Chance: Arts & Literature Fund.
The Grammy-award winning artist took to Twitter to announce the partnership on Tuesday.
.@Lyft AND @SocialWorks_Chi are teaming up! You can now Use Round Up & Donate, to contribute to New Chance Arts & Literature Fund. The more we ride, the more we raise to #supportCPS . https://t.co/eThgxMHkaa

In this year alone, Chance has donated $1 million dollars to Chicago Public Schools, given $10,000 to 10 CPS schools, as well as another set of $10,000 donations to 12 more CPS schools after the Chicago Bulls matched his $1 million donation. Just last month, he announced that his organization raised $2.2 million dollars for 20 CPS schools, which will receive $100,000 over the next three years from the New Chance Fund.
"Through the New Chance Arts & Literature Fund, I'm committed to giving the kids in Chicago as much as I can," Chance said. "And now with Lyft's Round Up & Donate, we can give them much more because the more we ride, the more we raise to bring more arts programs to Chicago Public Schools."
