Another day, another opportunity for Chance The Rapper to give back! On Friday, Chance expanded his recent $1 million donation to Chicago Public Schools (CPS) into the New Chance Arts and Literature Fund. "We all know the Illinois education system is one of the most underfunded in the nation. I'm excited to announce the creation, in collaboration with the Children's First Fund, of the New Chance Arts and Literature Fund", said Chance. "We are committed to giving the kids as much as we can."
But wait...there's more. During the press conference held at Paul Robeson High School, Chance also announced that the Chicago Bulls have matched his $1 million donation to Illinois schools.

As promised, for every $100,000 raised through his non-profit organization, Social Works Chicago, Chance will donate $10,000 directly to a school. Therefore, because of the additional $1.2 million donated, 12 schools are set to receive extra funding.
"I'm committed to helping Chicago students have quality learning experiences in a quality learning space," said Chance. "As an artist I know the arts are essential, they teach students valuable lessons."
Chance, thank you for using your platform to invest in the next generation and inspiring others to do the same.
