It’s giving luxury!
A Black-owned London shop has consistently been ranked the prettiest café in the city, Travel Noire reports.
Sisters Lois and Michela Wilson are the owners of Saint Aymes café, a trendy pastel and floral-themed café located in London. The two started the café back in 2016 with the goal of making every day beautiful through chocolates.
The Wilson sisters figured they could make their dream come true of working for themselves by finding the greatest chocolates the industry had to offer and sprucing the high quality treats up by creating luxurious packaging.
Known for avant garde offerings like their 24-karat gold-smothered hot chocolate and cakes, Saint Aymes is the crème de la crème when it comes to luxurious treats. One of their standout hits became their edible chocolate pyramids which featured 24-karat edible gold and was named for artistic icons. The two first debuted the chocolates at the Saatchi Gallery for the Scoop International fashion show, it instantly becoming a hit and getting stocked in luxury retailers like Selfridges Harvey Nichols and Fenwick.
The duo emphasized the importance of having their chocolates in physical shops instead of just selling online as key to their growth. That’s why two years after their debut, they opened an immersive and interactive experience with the Saint Aymes Café located near Hyde Park. The gorgeous interior design and signature edible gold menu quickly earned it the title as one of the most beautiful cafés in London.
“Nothing beats a local brick-and-mortar presence, especially if it can be immortalized on Instagram,” the co-owners told reporters.
Now, the ladies are looking to take their concept shop around the world, already having successfully completed two pop-up shops in Japan. They have also opened franchising opportunities in the U.S., UAE, GCC, and India.
