15,000 Jobs Are Now Available To Youth And Young Adults Through ‘One Summer Chicago’ Program

15,000 jobs are now available to youth and young adults through the “One Summer Chicago” program, Fox 32 Chicago reports.

Summer is the perfect time for young people to gain employment and experience and Chicago is making sure there is no child left behind. The city just opened applications for their “One Summer Chicago” program which is offering more than 15,000 job opportunities for youth in the city.

Job listings vary from law offices to working at the beach. Many job programs require a commitment of 20 to 25 hours per week and applications are open to Chicago residents ages 14 to 24 years old.

“We are making sure we are providing them with meaningful experiences that will set them on the trajectory to really understand what career possibilities exist for them,” said Brandie Knazze, Commissioner of the Department of Family and Support Services. 

Many of the jobs begin July 5th and end August 12th. Interested participants can apply online at onesummerchicago.org The deadline for applications is June 10th.
