Viola Davis Just Became One of The Newest Faces of L’Oréal Paris

Viola Davis just keeps on winning!

The 54-year-old actress will be the new face for L’Oréal’s Age Perfect line which is designed for mature skin, Essence reports. Davis will appear in TV, print and digital advertising campaigns for the new skincare product.

L’Oréal Paris’ Global Brand President, Delphine Viguier-Hovasse said that the brand is “thrilled to welcome Viola as a member of [the L’Oréal] family.” She continued to talk about the partnership saying, “Viola’s tenacity authenticity, and bold spirit resonate with and inspire so many people. She challenges the status quo in all aspects of life and her drive to succeed has proven itself time after time. [Viola] is the perfect conduit to elevate our core message, ‘Because I’m Worth It’.”

Davis said that she doesn’t consider her own beauty to be the societal norm of what beauty is and hopes that women are inspired by her image.

“There’s classical beauty, but with age and experience comes confidence - and there is nothing more beautiful than that,” she said.

As a new brand spokeswoman, the Emmy award-winning actress continues to push L’Oréal’s message of diversity and joins a roster of brand ambassadors including How To Get Away With Murder co-star Aja Naomi King. She said her goal is to empower women and let them know that there is beauty at every age.

“I worked tremendously hard to get where I am today, overcoming feelings of doubt to become a woman who truly believes I am ‘worth it’ in every way. To now be part of a brand that has been championing women’s worth for more than 40 years and to use my voice to help empower others is truly surreal,” said Davis.

Davis has been extremely active lately, gearing up for her new role as Michelle Obama on the upcoming series First Ladies, supporting her daughter in her burgeoning acting pursuits and preparing for the final season of ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder.

We’re here for it all! Congratulations!
