Ask any parent and they’ll probably tell you that its difficult to predict exactly what their child will say. Young kids possess an innocence and truthfulness that can be both entertaining and nerve-racking. All of which are the perfect makings for a television show, specifically, the reboot of Kids Say the Darndest Things.
According to Deadline, the popular television show that dates back to a CBS special that aired on February 6, 1995, is making a come back with the “She Ready” comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish as the host and an executive producer.
“I’m excited to hear what kids have to say these days because I can’t understand what they are saying on social media,” said Haddish. “They’re using too many abbreviations!”
With in studio-segments and taped pieces from around the country, the reimagined series will have a show line up that is vastly different from show that Bill Cosby hosted from January 1998 through June 2000.
Deadline reports that there will be multiple segments that will allow Haddish to insert her comedic perspectives. Some of them include “Kids Rule,” where the young people will explain the rules for everything from dating to sportsmanship and one of our favorite “Best Capool Ever” with Haddish engaging with a minivan full of kids. Anyone who has ever been in charge of a carpool knows that the car produces the most interesting conversations.
The new show will debut on CBS this fall at 8 pm on Sundays, sandwiched in between America’s Funniest Home Videos at 7pm and Shark Tank at 9pm.
