Jada Pinkett Smith said it was her mom Adrienne Banfield- Norris' dream to be on the cover of Essence magazine. Well that dream just came true and she got to live it out with her daughter and granddaughter Willow.

The 'Red Table Talk' trio are the cover stars of Essence's March issue, where they discuss their innovative multigenerational Facebook Watch talk show. Pointing out that for many viewers the show fills the void that 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' left behind when it ended after its 25th season, Essence writes: "Viewers can feel that the Smiths have no agenda other than offering reflective conversation; it makes viewers want to pull up their own chair and oftentimes pause the Facebook video to think about what they’ve just watched."

As a result, the 'Red Table Talk' has become one of Facebook Watch’s most successful shows to date, receiving over 275 million views in total since its debut in May 2018. And to think it all started in 2012 when Pinkett Smith sat down with her mother and daughter at a red table to have a candid generational conversation about topics such as womanhood, motherhood and personal wellness.

“Everybody has a place at the table because there’s not just one perspective,” Pinkett Smith says in Essence's March cover story. "That’s what makes the show awesome to me."

"The Innovation Issue" is set to hit newsstands February 22.
