On Monday night, the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California was turned into royal purple (literally) for the world premiere of Marvel's "Black Panther." As expected, the film's director Ryan Coogler and the cast Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Sterling K. Brown brought an overdose of Black excellence. Plus, Black Hollywood came out to support one of the year's most highly anticipated films.

As the first reviews about the film came rolling in, one thing it looks like audiences can expect is that "Black Panther" will be everything and more! According to Variety, Los Angeles Times writer Jen Yamato wrote that the film is "incredible, kinetic, purposeful. A superhero movie about why representation and identity matters, and how tragic it is when those things are denied to people. The (first) MCU movie about something real."
