Michelle Obama and Beyonce's Public Support of One Another is an Example for All Women

Michelle Obama and Beyonce's Public Support of One Another is an Example for All Women

Over the last 24-hours Forever First Lady, Michelle Obama, and Beyonce have shared public messages of support and adoration for one another and we're here for it.

On Wednesday, the day her Homecoming documentary debuted, a tribute from Beyonce to Michelle Obama was published in recognition of Obama's Time's 100 Most Influential People honor.

“Loving Michelle Obama wasn’t much of a choice. It was something that came naturally, because of how she carried herself. Because she resembled us and was moving in spaces where, as Black Americans, we weren’t exactly meant to be, she seemed so powerful,” she wrote.

In the essay Beyonce referred to Obama as "regal" and "brilliant" as she talked about how honored she is to know her. She also expressed what our forever First Lady means to her children.

“I am so grateful that my daughters and my son live in a world where Michelle Obama shines as a beacon of hope who inspires all of us to do better and to be better.”

24-hours later Michelle Obama took to Instagram to congratulate Beyonce for her Netflix documentary, "Homecoming."

It's encouraging to see two powerful women publicly encouraging one another. It's an example we can all embrace and learn from. Friend goals indeed!
