Listen: Why Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Final Public Words Still Inspire Us Today

Today marks the 49th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's untimely death. During his short but full life, Dr. King led some of the nation’s most historic marches (such as the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the Selma to Montgomery Marches) and delivered some of the best speeches of all time. As one of the world’s greatest and most inspirational leaders, Dr. King left behind a legacy that continues to inspire generations to keep working towards a better future. Even in his last speech, "I’ve Been To The Mountaintop", delivered just a day before he was assassinated, Dr. King reminded us all that a better tomorrow awaits. You can listen to two excerpts from his famous speech below.

Dr. King, thank you for your vision, sacrifice and courage to share your dream with the world.
