Icons Whitney Houston & Biggie To Be Inducted Into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

It's really happening!

Legendary singer Whitney Houston and iconic rapper The Notorious B.I.G. will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (HOF).

Last year we reported about the 2020 HOF nominees which included our beloved Whitney and the only Christopher we acknowledge, Christopher “Biggie Smalls” Wallace.

The nominations were a first for both artists and included other cultural icons such as Rufus & Chaka Khan who have been nominated three times so far.

Houston and Wallace are receiving their posthumous inductions alongside rock bands, the Doobie Brothers, Nine Inch Nails, T. Rex and Depeche Mode. Artists are eligible for HOF induction 25 years after their first single release and are chosen by a fan vote and a group of more than 1,000 artists, historians and music industry veterans.

The ceremony will take place May 2nd at Cleveland’s Public Auditorium and be broadcast live for the first time ever on HBO at 8pm EST.

Tickets go on sale to the general public February 27th, 10am EST at Ticketmaster.com.
