A party is exactly what we needed!
Pioneering DJ D-Nice is single handedly saving 2020 right now and the whole world is tuned in!
The impromptu Instagram Live party started 5 days with just 200 people tuned in to D-Nice spinning all the hits. As of Saturday, just shortly after 9:30pm, 51,000 people had tuned into the fun.
The “Homeschoolin’: Social Distancing Dance Party,” was a literal movie. With no shortage of celebrities, and no shortage of laughs. Director Ava DuVernay, Rapper MC Lyte, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, Janet Jackson, Patti LaBelle, Will Smith, legendary drummer Sheila E., Kareem Abdul Jabar, Jada Pinkett Smith and Missy Elliott were just a few of the ones who came out to party.
The comments would have you believing that you were at a real party as folks shouted out each other and claimed their sections in the “club." By the time Will Smith and Chaka Khan got there, it had already been going for at least 3 hours. D-Nice engaged his fans by spinning hits for hours on end, adding comedians like “Spice Adams” and Tiffany Haddish to the livestream, and ushering in a bevy of hat changes.
The best part was witnessing D-Nice's joy each time another legend showed up.
The non stop dance party was exactly what we all needed. It was a beautiful collective of joy and an ever present reminder that no matter what, “we gon make it!”
Last we checked, Forever First Lady Michelle Obama, Mark Zuckerberg, Rihanna, Joe Biden, Oprah and Bernie Sanders checked into the “club.”
At 10:28 he hit 100k viewers.
Thanks for bring us together D-Nice!
