Colin Kaepernick Spends 32nd Birthday Delivering Food and Supplies to the Homeless

Colin Kaepernick spent his 32nd birthday building on his commitment to serve others.

The former NFL quarterback and founder of the Know Your Rights Camp ventured out to Oakland, California’s Tent City to distribute Nike backpacks filled with essentials such as socks, shampoo, deodorant and snacks. Each one also contained masks to protect them from the toxic air caused by recent fires.

Kaepernick also bought out a food trick to feed everyone.

He was joined by his longtime girlfriend, Nessa and the mother of Mario Woods — a San Francisco man who was fatally shot by five police officers in 2015. Kaepernick recently revealed that the incident caused him to lean towards activism.

The people were visibly excited to see the modern day freedom fighter, grabbing supplies, posing and thanking him for visiting their community.

Happy birthday, Colin!
