Once again, Chance the Rapper is giving back to his hometown of Chicago in a major way.

During the second annual summit for his nonprofit organization SocialWorks on Thursday, the 25-year-old artist and philanthropist announced that he would be donating $1 million to mental health services in Chicago.

"We need a new space where people can get information on how they feel, on where to go and a network for us to interact and review our mental health spaces, and create a community of people helping people," Chance said during the summit. "So I'm proud to announce that I'm pledging one million dollars towards mental health services in Chicago."

"With the help of SocialWorks, we want to change the way that mental health resources are being accessed by you," he said.

When it comes to giving back to the city of Chicago, Chance has continued to put his money where his mouth is. From donating $1 million to Chicago Public Schools, to raising $2.2 million for 20 CPS schools, to giving away 30,000 backpacks to Chicago's children, to now pledging $100,000 to six different mental health organizations in Cook County, Illinois. SocialWorks also launched a its new initiative, "My State of Mind, in Cook County, Illinois to help enhance the city's mental health resources.

Chance also shared that the New Chance Arts and Literature Fund would be giving 20 more Chicago Public Schools (CPS) a $100,000 grant over the next three years, bringing SocialWorks fundraising efforts for CPS to a total $4.4 million.
