She's made herstory!
Beyoncé made history becoming the woman with the most Grammys as she took home her 28th award at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony Sunday night.
The record-breaker had nine nominations, the most of any artist in 2021. "Black Parade" took Best R&B Performance win, which took her past the bluegrass artist Alison Krauss's record. She also grabbed Best Rap Performance with Megan Thee Stallion, who also took home the Best New Artist award. Beyoncé is now tied with Quincy Jones for the second most Grammy wins. The late Hungarian-British conductor Georg Solti holds the record with 31 Grammy Awards. She made history alongside her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, who is now the second-youngest Grammy winner.Trevor Noah of "The Daily Show" hosted the ceremony from the Los Angeles Convention Center, which had no attendees this year due to the pandemic. Although the awards looked different this year there were still rousing performances from acts like Brittany Howard, Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak), Mickey Guyton, and Megan Thee Stallion. And in another historic moment Tiffany Haddish became the second Black woman, and first since Whoopi Goldberg in 1986, to win Best Comedy Album for Black Mitzvah. She found out while shooting an episode of "Kids Say The Darndest Things" and responded in the sweetest way possible!
