When Eugene Hilton, a custodian at Moody Elementary School in Moody, Alabama, went to work on October 2, he had no idea that there was a sweet surprise in store for him. Under the impression that a "student had an accident" in the gym, Hilton instead walked into a room full of third graders surprising him with an appreciation party for National Custodial Workers Day. The students showered Hilton with cheers and cards, and also made a large banner that said: "Thank you Mr. Eugene for always lending a helping hand."
Andrea Orr shared the priceless moment on Facebook with a caption that read: "Not all superheroes wear capes. We know of one in particular that we are very thankful for!"
See the surprise unfold below.
"It made me feel real appreciated," Hilton said. "It was a total shock. I love these guys."
We're not crying, you're crying!
